Eep, finally finished this mask I started almost a year ago. XD It's part of my new Mononoke costume (re-make!), so it is wearable. ^^
The mask base is made from Celluclay (not really a fan of that stuff, too lumpy), and covered in Paperclay. The ears and raised white details are Paperclay as well. The gold circles are napkin rings from Kohl's. The fur is Monterey Mills white fox fur from CRscrafts.com, so it's good stuff, but pretty costly.
The eyes and mouth holes have black buckram (mesh fabric) inside them, so I can see out of it without people seeing in. It normally works great because there's no light source coming from the back, but my wig head it's on there is too small( much smaller than a human head and face), so light leaked in around the side.
I have no idea how long it took to make, I wasn't paying much attention, and was doing other things randomly around the same time. Probably 15-20 hours? It was a LOT of sanding and painting.
Glad you like, and I love that movie too, it's what got me into anime. I'd only seen Pokemon before my mom rented Princess Mononoke, and hadn't cared about seeing more anime, but after I saw how awesome Miyazaki's stuff was, I got more interested in other anime series. ^^

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
